The chairman of the London board, Daniel Levy, reassures the team's fans by stating that Gareth Bale will not be sold.
The Welsh national team member has been showing impressive athletic form this season and is one of the most desirable players in the market.
However, Levy stated: "We have never been a club that sells our leaders, at least not since I took on these duties.
"Both Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Carrick had two years left on their contracts when they wanted to leave, so we had to let them go. But Gareth has a long-term contract, so there is no basis for selling him."
Levy also added that with the winter transfer window opening, Tottenham does not plan on strengthening.
