By winning three points, Italian club players surpassed the Romanians in Group K standings and advanced to the round of 16 of the tournament.
The happy ending could not be enjoyed by the Bundesliga-leading Borussia Dortmund team, who only managed a draw against Sevilla, as the match ended 2-2.
