One of the biggest Italian sports newspapers "Gazzetta dello Sport" announced this morning that the president of Milan, Massimo Moratti, has decided to dismiss the coach Rafael Benitez.
Although the club won the FIFA Club World Cup last weekend, Moratti was angered by Benitez's public comments demanding full support and reinforcement of the team, or asking to be dismissed.
"Some of Rafa's comments were not said at the right time," said the leader of the Italian champions. "But that did not spoil the celebration."
However, when asked by journalists, he firmly refused to talk about the coach's future in the team.
It is said that some of the "Inter" players are unsatisfied with the Spanish coach's methods, which facilitated the club leader's decision.
