Del Neri: we played better and deserved the win © EuroFootball.com

After the 1-1 draw in the Italian "Serie A" match with Verona's "Chievo", Turin's coach Luigi Del Neri regretted not being able to snatch a victory, but is convinced that his team played well.

The "Old Lady" had to cope without three main squad players - Alessandro Del Piero, Felipe Melo, and Claudio Marchisio. On top of that, just before the match it became clear that Mohamed Sissoko would also not be able to take the field.

The Frenchman's place in the starting lineup was taken by Manuel Giandonato, a product of the Juventus youth academy.

"Missing a goal in the last seconds is always unpleasant. It is really a shame, as we deserved more," said the coach.

"I am pleased with the character shown by my team and how we handled the field without important players. We played without several key players and we did it really well.

The league table? Of course, we could have earned more points. We have all the possibilities to perform well in the second half of the season," Del Neri concluded.
