Nicolas Anelka's brother and agent stated that the Frenchman could go to the United States to play after his contract with London expires.
The current striker's contract is valid until the summer of 2012 and it appears it may not be extended.
"Nicolas said that he is interested in the possibility of playing in the USA," Claude Anelka told the "Daily Star". "We believe it is a real possibility and I am speaking completely seriously."
He added: "My brother wants to try it, even if he would earn less than, for example, in Qatar."
