London strategist Arsene Wenger confirmed that defender Thomas Vermaelen will not be able to play for another month.
Initially, it was expected that the footballer would return to the field at the beginning of January, but now it has been postponed until the end of the first month of the new year.
"In order for him to regain his physical form, Vermaelen will need three or four weeks," said Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger. "We need to be very careful."
Indeed, at the beginning of January, Kieran Gibbs will return to the lineup.
