Milan captain Javier Zanetti assures that he will not retire from professional football until he turns 40 years old.

The 37-year-old Argentine is still a strong presence in the starting lineup of the Italian champions.

"I sincerely say: we have not talked with my family about the end of my career yet," said Zanetti. "I reap the fruits of hard work. These are the last years of my career, so I want to take advantage of all opportunities."

And he continued: "I want to play until I turn 40. Then I will decide what to do next."
