Rosellas: Guardiola in Barcelona can become what Ferguson is at "Man Utd" club © EuroFootball.com

President Sandro Rosell hopes that coach Pep Guardiola will lead the club for many years and repeat what "Man Utd" achieved with Sir Alex Ferguson.

39-year-old Guardiola won eight titles in just over two seasons, including the Champions League trophy. However, his contract will expire at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Ferguson has already surpassed the legendary Matt Busby's record and has been coaching the "Man Utd" team for over 24 years. During that time, they have won 11 English league titles, five FA Cups, four league cups, and have also won the Champions League twice.

"I would like Guardiola to be the Ferguson of the "Barcelona" team," said Rosell. "And after he finishes coaching, he would become the club's president."

Speaking about the coach's contract, Rosell stated: "I don't see any problem. He knows that he can extend it for as many years as he wants."
