On Saturday, ten matches of the 21st round were played. All three clubs at the top of the table, although playing away, achieved victories, while unexpectedly "Everton", who started the season excellently, suffered their second consecutive defeat, this time losing to "Tottenham Hotspur".
The most anticipated match of this round took place in Liverpool, where local "Liverpool" and "Chelsea" met. In a game dominated by defense, Jose Mourinho's team won with a minimal result, collecting 52 points in 21 matches and leading the championship.
In the second place of the table is "Arsenal", who defeated "Charlton" club with a result of 3-1 thanks to two goals from Freddie Ljungberg and one from Robin van Persie.
A victory was also achieved by "Man Utd", who have been demonstrating great form lately, defeating "Middlesbrough" away. "Man Utd" has won eight of the last nine matches of the English championship.
Another Manchester club, "Manchester City", celebrated victory against the bottom-placed "Southampton" team, "Fulham" defeated "Crystal Palace", and the players of "Newcastle United" achieved their first victory since November by beating "Birmingham City".
