Michel Platini is likely to be re-elected as UEFA president for a new four-year term.
Although the elections will only take place at the end of March next year, the Frenchman will have no opponents.
55-year-old Platini was elected at the beginning of 2007, when he defeated Lennart Johansson after a fierce battle.
During his leadership, European football underwent changes: starting from 2016, 24 national teams will compete in the continental championships instead of 16, and the format of the Champions League has been changed, allowing smaller league clubs to enter the tournament.
In addition, since 2012, clubs' expenses will be limited to what is earned. However, a transitional period of several years is planned.
