Former coach Jurijus Seminas, who worked in the 2008-2009 season, is once again taking the helm of the Kyiv "Dynamo" club. The experienced specialist will replace Oleg Luzhny, who took over after Valerij Gazayev's departure in October.

In that season, Seminas led the Ukrainian team to win the national championship, but they were defeated by fierce rival Donetsk's "Shakhtar" in the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup.

Midway through the season, "Dynamo" is in second place in the league table, trailing "Shakhtar" by twelve points.
