Freddie Ljungberg arrives in Scotland, where he will participate in Glasgow's training for a week.
Having experienced the last year and a half, the 33-year-old Swede played for the Seattle Sounders and Chicago Fire teams in the United States.
"He is coming to take a look," said Celtic strategist Neil Lennon. "We believe that Freddie is a top league footballer."
And he added: "His agent contacted us, so maybe we will reach a mutual agreement."
