London strategist Arsene Wenger hopes that Monday's victory against another capital city club "Chelsea" will be a big boost psychologically for his players.
After defeating their opponents 3-1, the "Gunners" rose to 2nd place in the league table.
"The victory has a double meaning. First of all, it allowed us to stay alongside the leader," said the Frenchman. "And it is also important psychologically, as we often heard questions about our ability to compete against the big clubs."
Talking about the match, Wenger added: "I am pleased with the team's desire to win. We maintained discipline for the full 90 minutes and showed that we are a real team."
