President Rosella Sensi confirmed that the club is in negotiations for a new contract with defender Philippe Mexes.
The Frenchman's contract expires next summer, but the capital team does not want to let go of one of their main center-backs, who is linked with AC Milan.
"We are negotiating for an extension," Sensi said on Roma Channel. "AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is my friend, but we have never talked about Mexes.
"I care a lot about this player. We hope to reach an agreement."
