Strategist Roy Hodgson asks angry fans to support the team in difficult times.
On Wednesday, the 'Reds' sensationally, but deservedly, lost 0-1 at home to "Wolverhampton", who occupy the last place in the English championship. After the final whistle, fans not only booed, but also chanted the name of Kenny Dalglish, considered the main contender to replace Hodgson if he is dismissed.
"The fans were angry and that's understandable. We disappointed them," said the 63-year-old specialist. "I hope the fans will support us again, because we really need it. After all, we don't lose on purpose."
When asked about Dalglish, the Brit said: "I've been dealing with that for a long time. From the very beginning, I haven't seen the famous 'Anfield' support for me."
"There were problems with the owners, and besides, Kenny is very popular among fans, but he didn't get the coaching job, I did. I don't like hearing that and it's sad, but I'm trying my best.
"As a coach, you have to take responsibility, so I do that."
