The Lithuanian national team played a friendly match against the host team in Israel. The hosts won with a score of 2-1.

At the beginning, both teams played evenly, and in the first half hour, they failed to create more dangerous opportunities, with the young Tamošauskas being more active among the Lithuanians.

In the 33rd minute, after a pass from Badir, Balili turned and scored a precise shot to put Israel ahead. Scoring the goal made the Jews more active, and they could have doubled the lead in the 42nd minute after Staučė's mistake. Making a combined effort, the Lithuanians equalized the score a minute later - Stankevičius made a pass into the penalty area, the ball bounced off Ben-Haim's leg and ended up in the goal.

The second half started with attacks from the Israelis, and this siege brought them a goal in the 62nd minute, when Badir scored a goal with a header from about 11 meters after a corner kick. In the 63rd minute, there was a substitution within the Lithuanian ranks - Radzinevičius appeared on the field instead of Poderis and created a dangerous attack on the Israeli goal in a few minutes. Tamošauskas missed a good opportunity in the 74th minute, and the Lithuanians began to press the opponents more and more. However, they failed to create anything more dangerous for the rest of the match, and Lithuania lost the first match played this year.
