Madrid strategist Jose Mourinho has rejected the possibility of acquiring a new forward during the winter transfer window.
This decision comes after the news of the serious injury to Argentine Gonzalo Higuain, who is suffering from back problems and will most likely undergo surgery, missing the rest of the season on the field.
In this case, Mourinho will be left only with one nominal striker - Frenchman Karim Benzema.
"At the moment, the club does not plan to buy a forward," - said the Portuguese. - Since this is "Real", a new player cannot be bought simply because of the need to buy, which complicates the situation.
"I only have one forward Benzema, but we will have to deal with this situation. I will have to make use of the top-level footballers that we have in our team."
