Rooney will be able to play against "Liverpool" © EuroFootball.com

Attacker Wayne Rooney returned to training recovered from an ankle injury suffered on New Year's Day in the match against "W.B.A."

"Red Devils" manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed that Rooney, who missed the match against "Stoke", should be ready to take to the field in the FA Cup third-round match against the "Liverpool" team on Sunday.

The question mark remains over goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, who did not play in the last two "Man Utd" matches.

According to Sir Alex, if the Dutchman is unable to play, Tomasz Kuszczak will stand in goal, who performed well in the matches against "W.B.A." and "Stoke".

"It's hard to say what will happen with Edwin, but if he can't play, I will choose Tomasz. Anders Lindegaard is already able to play for us, but he doesn't have English football experience yet, even though he looks good in training," - said the specialist.
