On Sunday, in the intriguing third round of the English FA Cup matches, "Man Utd" footballers won the North West derby against "Liverpool" with a minimal result of 1-0 and advanced to the tournament's round of sixteen.

Just in the first minute of the match, the "Reds" fans were upset by referee Howard Webb's decision to award a penalty kick to be taken by Pepe Reina for a doubtful foul by Daniel Agger on Dimitar Berbatov in the penalty box.

Ryan Giggs, standing at the spot, did not leave any chances for the Spaniard and led the hosts to victory.

Webb, hailed as the best England referee, sent off the guests in the 32nd minute, when he showed a red card to "Liverpool" captain and key player Steven Gerrard for a rough foul.

The outnumbered "scousers" did not create anything during the rest of the match, so the "Red Devils" celebrated their ticket to the round of sixteen.

Also advancing to the next stage were London teams who crushed their opponents - "Chelsea" and "Tottenham," - while the "Leicester" - "Man City" match ended unexpectedly in a 2-2 draw, so the teams will have to settle the score in the replay next week.

Results:

"Man Utd" 1 - 0 "Liverpool"

London "Tottenham" 3 - 0 "Charlton"

London "Chelsea" 7 - 0 "Ipswich"

"Leicester" 2 - 2 "Man City"
