Berbatov: penalty was, I don't just fall on the grass (VIDEO) © EuroFootball.com

Attacker Dimitar Berbatov insists that referee Howard Webb made the right decision in awarding a penalty kick to "Liverpool" gate.

The Bulgarian fell after contact with defender Daniel Agger, and the standard situation was converted by Ryan Giggs. As it later turned out, this was the only goal of the match, ensuring Manchester's team a ticket to the next round of the FA Cup.

"Of course, it was a penalty," said Berbatov. "The contact was strong enough for me to lose my balance. People know that I don't just fall on the pitch for no reason."

About the match, the striker added: "Liverpool played well, especially goalkeeper Pepe Reina, who repelled many shots. But we were better."
