In the first FIFA national team ranking of 2011, the reigning world champion Spain continues to lead, while the Lithuanian national team maintains 55th place.

Since last month, only 35 qualifying matches have taken place, so there are no major changes in the ranking.

Spain is ahead of second-placed Netherlands and third-placed Germans. The top five is completed by Brazil and Argentina, with England, Uruguay, Portugal, Croatia, and Egypt also in the top ten.

Lithuania's national team opponents in the European Championship qualifying tournament, the Czech Republic, are in 30th place, Scotland is in 52nd place, and Liechtenstein holds the 148th position.
