Gabriel Milito decided to stay at the club until the end of the season.
In 2007, the Argentine who joined the ranks of the Catalan team asked to be loaned out, as he rarely enters the starting lineup. It was rumored that the 30-year-old footballer was wanted by "West Ham," "Blackburn," "Genoa," "Napoli," and "Malaga."
However, in the end, Milito changed his mind and at least for now, he remains in Barcelona: "Gabi thought long and hard and decided not to leave.
"We are very happy because we wanted him to be in the team," said Barcelona's sports director, Andoni Zubizarreta.
So far, Milito has not been able to break up the main central defensive pair - Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique.
