Legendary Dutchman Ruud Gullit was appointed as the new head coach of Grozny on Tuesday, signing a one-and-a-half year contract.
The 48-year-old specialist last held such a position in 2008, when he left the Los Angeles Galaxy team in the United States. He has also managed the London teams Chelsea and Newcastle in England, as well as Feyenoord in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
"Gullit is a world football star," said Terek president Khaidar Alkhanov. "He has experience at the highest level clubs, which will definitely be useful to us."
In the Russian championship, the Grozny team finished 12th last season.
