Milan striker Samuel Eto'o was not inclined to criticize former team coach Rafael Benitez.
The Spaniard lost his position in December, although he managed to win the Club World Cup and the Italian Super Cup.
When asked what went wrong for Benitez, Eto'o said: "I don't agree with how many people view this situation."
"Before the match against Juventus, we showed good football. As for things that happen in the dressing room, I prefer to keep them to myself. I just thank Benitez for what he did - after all, we won two trophies."
Under Benitez's leadership, Eto'o mostly played as a forward, although last season Jose Mourinho used him on the right side.
