Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain hopes to return to the field this season.
The Argentine underwent back surgery in the United States. It was predicted that he would be unable to play for about four months, but Higuain himself remains optimistic.
"Everything went great, just as we hoped," said the footballer. "I hardly feel any pain anymore, which was preventing me from playing. I hope to return to the field as soon as possible and I am almost certain that I will do so this season."
Higuain managed to play in 12 Spanish league matches and score 7 goals.
