Famous British commentators on female referee: they don't understand the offside rule... © EuroFootball.com

"Sky Sports" TV commentators Andy Gray and Richard Keys - "sexists"? That assumption is made by football fans in Great Britain after the famous duo on air questioned whether the female assistant referee really understands the offside rule. Most likely thinking their microphones were turned off, Keys and Gray before the English Championship match between "Wolverhampton" and "Liverpool" made fun of 25-year-old referee Sian Massey. They also criticized "West Ham" executive Karren Brady, who in one of the newspapers wrote about sexism in football. Speaking about Massey, Keys said: "Someone should quickly explain the offside rule to her." Former Scottish national team striker Gray added: "Can you believe it? A female assistant referee. She doesn't understand what offside is." Keys did not object: "Of course not. I think today we will see some interesting scenes. Kenny (Liverpool manager Dalglish - ed.) will go crazy." Interestingly, Massey provoked the anger of "Wolverhampton" players by not signaling offside for "Liverpool" defender Raul Meireles at the end of an attack, but the video footage showed that she made the right decision."
