The Italian Football Players Association named Milan's forward Diego Milito as the best player of the past season, and the coach who led this team, Jose Mourinho.
31-year-old Milito was one of the team leaders, and he scored 22 goals in the Serie A championship.
"It's an extremely great honor. The year 2010 will always remain unforgettable for me," said Milito, who won the "Italian Football Oscar."
The Argentine surpassed his teammate Wesley Sneijder.
The best goalkeeper was also Inter's representative Julio Cesar, the best defenders were his teammate Walter Samuel and Juventus representative Giorgio Chiellini. The best young footballer was Palermo's Argentine Javier Pastore, and the local player was Udinese veteran Antonio Di Natale.
The winners in these awards are determined by the votes of the top league football players.
