On Wednesday, in the first semi-final matches of the Spanish King's Cup tournament ("Copa del Rey"), the country's giants - Madrid's "Real" and "Barcelona" - secured victories.

The 'Royal' club managed to defeat "Sevilla" with a minimal result of 1-0, thanks to the only goal by Karim Benzema in the 17th minute.

There was a lot of discussion over a situation at the end of the first half, when Sevilla's forward Luis Fabiano was very close to regaining his balance after almost scoring against the goalkeeper.

Even after watching a replay of the episode, football fans cannot unanimously decide whether the ball kicked by the Brazilian crossed the goal line before Raul Albiol cleared it.

It is worth mentioning that after the referee blew the final whistle, Sevilla fans threw a bottle onto the pitch, hitting Real's goalkeeper Iker Casillas in the head.

There is no doubt that for this incident, the Andalusian club will receive a "severe" fine of several thousand euros and a warning.

Meanwhile, in front of their own fans, "Barcelona" crushed "Almeria" 5-0 and can feel much calmer than their eternal rivals from the Spanish capital before the second leg match, which will take place next week.
