The new London striker Fernando Torres hopes to score a goal in Sunday's match against his former team's goal.
"It would be like fate," said the 26-year-old Spaniard, for whom the capital's team paid 58 million euros. "The circumstances are not perfect, but if I get a chance to show myself, I will try my best and hope to score a goal."
Torres also said: "I can only say good things about Liverpool. I became a top-level player at this club and could play at the highest level.
"I will never say anything bad about this team. I was very happy there, but history changes and now I represent Chelsea."
However, he will likely upset the Liverpool fans with his statement: "I am joining a team that is at the highest level. There is no team like that after Chelsea."
