Dalglish: Suarez scores without even training with the team (VIDEO) © EuroFootball.com

Strategist Kenny Dalglish was pleased that Luis Suarez, who had not had a single training session with the team, scored a goal in his debut match.

The Uruguayan appeared in the second half of the match against Stoke and jumped in front of the goalkeeper to send the ball into the net.

"Luis couldn't even train with us because all the paperwork had to be sorted out," Dalglish said. "When he starts working with the others, we will see even better results."

He continued: "Suarez smiles every day. He is a wonderful and happy guy. It's amazing that he managed to score in his first game."

Due to Andy Carroll's injury, the strategist will have to wait a few more weeks for the debut of the club's most expensive player, but Dalglish is already looking forward to when he can form a powerful attacking quartet consisting of Steven Gerrard, Raul Meireles (who scored three goals in four matches), Suarez, and Carroll.

"This will scare some opponents," Dalglish said. "They are four fantastic footballers. Andy will be able to play in a few weeks, but we have a five-and-a-half-year contract, so time is on our side."
