Krasičius: the condition of the streets in Italy - appalling © EuroFootball.com

"The security guard Miloš Krasičius admitted to being unpleasantly surprised by the quality of the squares in Italy.

The Serbian, who arrived from Moscow CSKA in the summer, also predicted a bright future for the Russian championship.

"There are many old and inconvenient stadiums in Russia, but, to be honest, the infrastructure in Italy is not ideal either," Krasičius told Sovsport.ru. "I was mostly surprised by the quality of many squares, because I thought there would be no such problems here. In Genoa, the wind is simply terrible! The ball hits the bushes and flies somewhere else, not where it should be.

"Here, in Turin, the wind is not better either, because every weekend we play either us or the 'Torino' team. I have to admit that in the last six months I haven't seen squares as good as in England."

Talking about the Russian championship, Krasičius said: "In recent years, it has really strengthened. I think that in a few years these championships can be as good as England or Spain. The only thing I didn't like was the beginning and the end of the season - then we had to play when the temperature was only around zero degrees."
