Due to a shoulder injury, London goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski will no longer appear on the field this season.

The member of the Polish national team has not played in a match since last month.

"We have bad news regarding Lukasz - he will need surgery," said the capital team's coach Arsene Wenger. "After meeting with several specialists, he decided to undergo surgery in Germany. This means that the season is over."

Fabianski had firmly established himself in the starting lineup, and now Wenger will have to choose between Spanish Manuel Almunia and another Pole, Wojciech Szczesny.
