The Madrid club is looking to acquire highly rated Danish team guard Thomas Gravesen in the coming days. This was confirmed by the player's agent John Sivebaek.
"We have talked with 'Real', but nothing has been signed yet," said J. Sivebaek. "T. Gravesen would like to play in Madrid, but the clubs have not yet reached an agreement. 'Real' would like him to leave now, but everything now depends on 'Everton'."
Various media reports suggest that 'Real' could offer about 3 million euros for the Dane, whose contract with 'Everton' expires this summer. It is also claimed that the agent will now travel to Liverpool, where he will meet with 'Everton' representatives and continue negotiations.
The Royal Madrid club has been looking for reinforcement in the midfield for some time after the unsatisfactory departure of defensive midfielder Claude Makelele.
