On Sunday, in the central England "Premier" League 26th round match, "Liverpool" footballers defeated London's "Chelsea" team with a minimal result of 1-0 away.
The only goal of the match was scored in the 69th minute, when Raul Meireles showed great form by confidently beating the home team defender Branislav Ivanovic and the goalkeeper Petr Cech from close range.
Although Carlo Ancelotti's team started the game with three forwards, including newcomer Fernando Torres, they struggled to find a way towards the opponent's goal.
The same cannot be said for the 'Reds', who could have taken the lead in the first half of the match, but Maxi Rodriguez's shot flew over the goal from just a few meters away.
By earning three points, the "Liverpool" team moved up to the sixth place in the league table, while the "Chelsea" club is in fourth position.
The London "West Ham" - "Birmingham" match ended with a 0-1 victory for the visitors.
