Former England national team coach Steve McClaren was fired from the position of the club's head coach on Monday. Instead, former assistant Pierre Littbarski will lead the team. The 49-year-old McClaren took over the reins of the German team last May after winning the championship in the Netherlands with Enschede Twente. However, he failed to repeat his success with Wolfsburg - currently, the club is only in 12th place in the national championship.
