Daniel Agger did not hesitate to criticize former coach Roy Hodgson, stating that under his command the team played "like s***".
Hodgson was fired after just six months, and his replacement Kenny Dalglish managed to lift the club to sixth place in the league.
According to Agger, none of the players performed well under the former coach: "It's hard to explain, isn't it? We played tragically, we were simply "s***".
"When the team plays well, players like Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard, or myself play well. But when we lose, everyone plays poorly."
