Pep Guardiola, who signed a contract for another year, refused to speculate on how long he would continue to lead the team.
Since taking over the Catalan team in 2008, the specialist now has a contract that will be valid until the end of the next season.
Barcelona wanted to sign a long-term contract, but the 40-year-old Guardiola refused to do so.
"I don't think about it," he said. "If I could, I would extend the contract every six months. But that's impossible. You have to wait and know precisely whether I have the desire and strength to continue the work, or if everything is going well for the players."
"Eventually, we will have to take different paths. And there's no need to be upset about it - things don't always go as we want. Everything disintegrates with time."
