Excellent performance by Jonas Gutierrez inspired Newcastle to secure their first victory in six matches in the English Premier League - a 2-0 away win against Birmingham.
The Argentinean winger provided two assists: Peter Lovenkrands scored the first goal early in the match and Leon Best found the net with a header after halftime.
Birmingham had chances to change the course of the game, but Steve Harper saved Nikola Zigic's attempt and also blocked a shot from Roger Johnson.
