In the first Champions League round of 16 match against Marseille, Manchester United will have to play without five football players. Defenders Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans did not travel to France for Wednesday's match, as well as midfielders Ryan Giggs and Anderson, and forward Michael Owen.
Anderson was the only one who played in the FA Cup match against Crawley over the weekend and was substituted after the first half.
Captain Ferdinand has not played since February 5th when he suffered a calf injury, and Evans is having issues with his ankle.
The reasons for Giggs and Owen not being included are not officially announced, but the latter seems to be recovering from a minor groin injury.
