The new head coach of the Chile national team has been appointed Claudio Borghi.

The specialist, who recently left the Argentine club "Boca Juniors" in Buenos Aires, will replace Marcelo Bielsa, who led the Chileans to the 2010 World Cup knockout stages.

"Today we begin the journey to the 2014 World Championships in Brazil," said the new president of the Chilean federation, Sergio Jadue.

Borghi is not a newcomer to this country, as he has worked for several years in various teams.
