Secco: Aquilani will return to England © EuroFootball.com

Alessio Secco is convinced that the future of Alberto Aquilani in Turin is very uncertain and he will most likely return to England.

The former sports director believes that the midfielder is not worth a €16 million buyout.

On the Italian radio show "Mercato," Secco said: "There is little hope that Juventus will keep Aquilani. He failed to meet expectations and did not improve the team's game.

This season has been poor for the 26-year-old footballer and €16 million is too much for a player of that level.

I think Juventus will try to buy out Fabio Quagliarella's contract, which currently belongs to Napoli.

Currently, the forward is recovering from a serious injury, but that should not influence the club's decision because Quagliarella is a top-level player and Juventus will definitely want to buy out his contract."

When asked if he would have signed a contract with the current "Old Lady" coach Luigi Del Neri last summer, Secco replied: "To be honest - no.

Although, in my opinion, Del Neri is a professional, I would have looked for someone else and not offered him a job."
