Arsene Wenger admits that London footballers were extremely disappointed after losing the English League Cup final, but urged them to continue fighting in other tournaments.
The capital team lost 1-2 to Birmingham on Sunday after a dramatic battle and failed to break the title drought that has been going on since 2005.
However, Arsenal remains a real contender to win the English Premier League, and continues to compete in the FA Cup and Champions League.
"The team is very disappointed, but we have many challenges ahead," said the Frenchman. "The English League Cup is just five matches, while the national championship is 38. We cannot throw away the entire season because of a few games.
"I am confident that we have a strong character and now we can show it. We need to believe in ourselves, recover and fight on other fronts. We will face many questions about the last mistake, but we need to show resilience."
