Michael Carrick has extended his contract with the club until the summer of 2014.
The England national team member joined the 'Red Devils' in 2006, coming from Tottenham in London. In 218 matches, he scored seventeen goals.
"I'm enjoying my time spent in this team," said Carrick. "The atmosphere here is amazing, so I am very happy."
This season, Carrick played 20 matches in the Premier League and did not score any goals.
