In the final moments, a penalty kick from 11 meters allowed the "Roma" team to win in an away match against the underdogs "Lecce" in the "Serie A" championship.

Roma's team surged ahead in the 32nd minute, when Mirko Vučiničius sent the ball into the net. The Montenegrin, who represented "Lecce" from 2000 to 2006, reacted modestly out of respect for his former fans.

In the second half, the hosts equalized when Guillermo Giancomazzi scored with his head, but just before the final whistle, Marco Borriello earned a penalty kick from 11 meters, which was converted by David Pizarro to snatch the victory.

This match was supposed to take place on Saturday, but was rescheduled a day earlier so that "Roma" could properly prepare for the Champions League round of 16 second leg match against Shakhtar Donetsk. In the first leg, the Italians lost 2-3.
