Cristiano Ronaldo should be ready to take to the field next week in the Champions League round of 16 second leg match against Lyon, Madrid strategist Jose Mourinho said.
"I think Cristiano will play, but I don't like it when a player is not 100 percent ready," Mourinho said. "If he trains on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, I will be convinced that Ronaldo is prepared."
The first leg match between Real and Lyon in France ended in a 1-1 draw, so on Wednesday at home the Spanish team would need a scoreless draw.
During a press conference, Mourinho did not miss the opportunity to criticize Barcelona for the scheduling: "The conditions in this country are not equal for everyone.
"When one team plays in the Champions League on Tuesday and then in the national championship on Sunday, and the other - Real - on Wednesday and Saturday, it is obvious that we are not given the opportunity to compete."
