The club's sporting director, Giuseppe Marotta, is planning to acquire at least four top-class footballers this coming summer.
At the beginning of the season, the club's management set a goal to return to the UEFA Champions League tournament and perform well in the less prestigious Europa League and Coppa Italia tournaments.
It is already clear that the team is unlikely to achieve these planned goals.
Until the end of last year, there were talks that Juventus could even compete for the Serie A championship titles, but the disastrous start of the year 2011 plunged the team into a deep crisis.
The "Old Lady" now only has theoretical chances to secure a spot in the Champions League, the team was eliminated in the group stage of the Europa League, and in the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia, they had to admit defeat to Roma.
For some time now, the Italian press has been buzzing with reports that the head coach Luigi Del Neri will be fired soon, but yesterday the club released an official statement on their website expressing confidence in the former Genoa and Sampdoria coach.
Meanwhile, as the summer transfer window approaches, more and more players with names linked to Juventus are emerging. The club's sporting director publicly stated that they will aim to acquire at least four top-class players (last year Juventus bought or loaned out a total of 13 players).
"To raise the team's level, we need at least four strong players who have experience and can deal with challenges," said Marotta.
Currently, the most frequently mentioned name is Lyon's full-back Michel Bastos. Among the possible candidates are AC Milan's midfielder Andrea Pirlo, Barcelona's defensive midfielder Javier Mascherano, and Real Madrid's midfielder Sami Khedira.
