London's "Chelsea" and "Man Utd" will once again clash in the Champions League, reminiscent of the 2008 final, which ended with a victory for the Manchester team.
During that penalty shootout, John Terry had the opportunity to secure victory for the 'Blues', but missed and ended up in tears as he watched the trophy being lifted by the opponents.
The first leg of this tie will take place in London on April 6, with the second leg on April 12. In the semifinals, the winner will face either Milan's "Inter" or Gelsenkirchen's "Schalke".
"In England we are fierce rivals, but the Champions League is a different tournament," said Chelsea secretary David Barnard. "We are looking forward to the upcoming matches. It's normal for people to remember the final in Moscow and have ideas of revenge. This will be an additional motivation."
Meanwhile, Man Utd striker Javier Hernandez said: "Stamford Bridge stadium is a great place. Of course, it will feel like a league game, but we are lucky that the second leg will be in Manchester."
Man Utd secretary John Alexander also expressed his joy that in the event of success in the semifinals, they would face beatable opponents: "It's a shame that two English clubs will face each other. Nevertheless, whoever progresses to the semifinals will have a great chance to reach the final. Everyone wanted to avoid a clash with Barcelona."
