Daniele de Rossi has been disqualified for three matches for his actions in last week's Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Italian elbow struck the captain of the Ukrainian team, Darijo Srna, but avoided punishment from the referee on the field. However, UEFA did not overlook the incident and punished the footballer.
Shakhtar won a convincing victory in this round of 16 tie with an overall result of 6-2 and advanced to the quarterfinals, where they will play against Barcelona.
