Lionel Messi and Jose Mourinho are the highest paid football player and coach, announced by "France Football" magazine.
Representing Barcelona, two-time best player on the planet Messi will earn 31 million euros in salary and various other incomes in 2011. Meanwhile, Mourinho's account will be supplemented by 13.5 million euros.
However, Messi cannot compete with the highest paid athlete golfer Tiger Woods, whose income reaches 53 million euros.
Second place on the list of footballers is held by Real star Cristiano Ronaldo (27.5 million euros), third place - Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney (20.7 million). Interestingly, former English Premier League stars David Beckham and Thierry Henry are also on the list. The first occupies a high fifth place with income reaching 19 million euros, while the Frenchman ranks 11th (13.6 million).
Among the coaches, Mourinho leading Real surpasses his fiercest competitor, Barcelona's manager, Pep Guardiola (10.5 million), and former Inter Milan coach Rafael Benitez (10.2 million).
In the top twenty, there are even seven footballers playing in the English Premier League.
