Blatter seeks the last term as FIFA leader © EuroFootball.com

Sepp Blatter has confirmed that he will leave his position as FIFA president in 2015 if he is elected for a new four-year term.

The 75-year-old FIFA president is not sure about his victory in this year's elections, as he faces competition from Mohamed Bin Hammam, who leads the Asian confederation.

Blatter has faced criticism for corruption scandals, decisions on where to host World Cup tournaments, and the slow progress in implementing goal-line technology in football.

"This is the last term that I am running for," said Blatter.

Bin Hammam used to be one of Blatter's closest companions, but in recent years their opinions on many fundamental issues have diverged.
